[ Despite the flood waters, Terry the pom has been going everywhere. The flood is so bad, but he manages to get up the crappy second floor of the castle and takes shelter in Kano and Ellie's hideout. He shakes to try and get the water off and prances around. Yeah, that smells like Kano and Ellie... this is their home?? That sucks.
Anyway, Terry is curling up and trying to take five before he goes off and does things again. ]
[ "terry the pom's grand adventure"... all over hirajiro... ellie wishes she can do the same, but she can't swim and inugami is getting pretty tired carrying her everywhere like a pool floatie so she's stuck on the second floor of the castle. at least there's no rain hitting her from here but she's still bored and ughhh, this is the worst. she takes it back. maybe toronto would be better than this place because at least she can run around and not be stuck with nothing to do. she walks around the floor, kicking little pebbles when gasp... she spots a cute pom!! ]
Aw, where did you come from?
[ she bends down, a few steps away because she doesn't want to get bit. she extend a hand and wiggle her fingers. come over to her. ]
[ Terry looks up at the voice. Man, he must have been super tired not to actually notice her here. He sits up, stretches, and wags his tail. He hops once, getting closer to Ellie, and sniffs her hand because that's what dogs do and Terry hates that he's grown accustomed to this way of life by the third day. ]
[ she laughs a bit when the dog comes on over, wagging his tail because that's cute. ellie can pretend to be all tough but not when it comes to dogs. she calls them "puppies" in the game and it's great. ]
Haha, you're so cute. Are you lost? Do you have a collar?
[ she tries to check if there is any type of proof that terry is owned by anyone because if not, her dog now. ]
[ I mean... Terry's a tiny black pom now, complete with baby teeth. He's totally a puppy. That's so cute of Ellie though...
When Ellie tries to check, instead of a collar, Terry has the omamori hanging from his collar with the string acting like a pseudo collar. However, it's all covered in dried blood as if someone just dipped it into a bucketful and pulled it back out. The smell of blood is no longer on it and the smell of cinnamon and that wet dog smell overpowers it anyway. The name is impossible to read and so is the Arcana. It's just a rust-colored omamori now... dyed with the blood of his friends. ]
[ ... that's really concerning. uhhh, suddenly, she has a very bad feeling seeming the omamori like that. yeah, she's... she's going to see if she can take off the omamori off terry's neck because maybe this is something that she should check and make sure if anyone died or not???? jokes on her, everyone died. ]
[ She sure can ask Kano about his experience!! Anyway, Terry the pom is small and he basically doesn't have a neck, but he squirms in an attempt to keep the omamori on him. He doesn't growl nor bite Ellie though. But still. No takey. ]
[ yes takey. it's good that the pom doesn't growl or bite, but ellie is going to get the omamori so she tries to still grab at it. if terry still squirms, she's just going to pull him into a hug and try to hold him with an arm and her legs. she's determined to get that omamori. ]
[ ... Well, he is hungry. He can't deny that, so he nods to Ellie's question. Food... He doesn't want dog food. Nor cat food. Real food!! He wants the omamori back later though, so he'll think of ways to take it back in the meantime. ]
[ good thing that ellie doesn't actually have any dog food, even though she's going to try and look. she puts terry down as she crawls over to her backpack and starts to dig through it. she pulls out various different things like her old cassette walkman, a comic book, and lockpick sets before she pulls out a small pack of beef jerky. she was planning on saving these for later but she doesn't mind sharing them with a cute dog. ]
[ Terry's tail is wagging so hard it might as well fall off the body. He's panting and circles around several times. This definitely beats pet food!! He looks very enthusiastic. Please feed him jerky. ]
[ Sometimes, a pom's gotta do things so he doesn't starve. Instead of wildly grabbing at the jerky, he walks over calmly and gently takes it from Ellie's hand. Mmmmmm jerky. His teeth still suck, so he'll take his sweet time biting at it. ]
[ It's sort of the 20th. It's post-lockdown so it's just a bit after midnight and Kano's getting the hell out of the shrine dungeon and hopping over to the castle where he's had to remake the base up on the second floor. They're taking over that armory, since it's sort of a room. ]
[ ellie is on her front, rereading a comic book that she got a while back. this is one of the only forms of entertainment she has because lmfao no money and shitty phone. she looks up from her book at kano when he comes back. ]
[ Kano flops down on the hard ground and groans. If Ellie told him, he would buy her stuff... and by buy I mean "buy," aka hand over fake illusion money and then run, nobody will notice until they're too far away.
This isn't the sort of thing he can run away from, though. ]
Those two guys down there, in the blue door? They're doing the nasty. Also the Boss is in some deep shit and maybe the world is going to blow up, I dunno.
[ honestly... maybe they should do that, but she'd start to feel a little bad. the townspeople here are mostly nice. she only really jerks around with people if they're assholes. ]
